History
In Oct. 2010, a group of alumni, friends and district administrators formed an exploratory committee to determine if the Ritenour School District was in need of an educational foundation. After a series of meetings that fall, the Ritenour Pride & Promise Foundation was born.
The Foundation was officially certified and granted inaugural incorporation status by the State of Missouri on Jan. 3, 2011. The Ritenour Pride & Promise Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization established to provide supplemental funding for programs to enhance the educational excellence of the Ritenour School District. The Foundation solicits, manages and distributes supplemental funds to stimulate opportunities that enrich academic growth of Ritenour students.
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of alumni, friends of the district and school administrators. It is funded by solicitations and gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations as well as fund-raising initiatives.
