Ritenour Announces New Wyland Elementary Assistant Principal

Kayla Case

The Ritenour School District is pleased to announce that Kayla Case has been named the new assistant principal of Wyland Elementary School, effective July 1, 2024.

Case brings 10 years of teaching and leadership experience in schools that serve students in K-4 and K-8. Most recently, she served as principal for five years at Momentum Academy in St. Louis. She was an assistant principal for a year before she became principal.

Before arriving in St. Louis, Case was a teacher, instructional leader, and dean at a charter school in Nashville, Tenn.

“We are excited to welcome Ms. Case to Ritenour and the Wyland community,” said Superintendent Dr. Chris Kilbride."Her track record of reducing student office referrals, improving attendance and fostering strong family connections aligns with our goals in our district."

Case earned her bachelor’s in elementary education and a master’s in curriculum and instruction from Middle Tennessee State University. She also earned an educational specialist degree in school administration from Northwest Missouri State University.

Case replaces Dr. Kelsey Bodie, who will become Wyland’s principal on July 1.
