Ritenour School District Audited Financial Statements
Outside Auditor Praises Ritenour's Financial Reporting & Controls
The Ritenour School District received its annual financial audit by an outside audit firm after a thorough review of its financial records, accounting practices, and compliance with state and federal requirements. Mueller, Oberkfell & Jones, LLC reviewed the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2025. The Ritenour Board of Education approved the audit at its Dec. 18, 2025 meeting.
The auditor reported no findings or questioned costs. Matthew Sell, an auditor with Mueller, Oberkfell & Jones, told the board that, after spending several weeks reviewing information from the district’s business department, the financial statements are free from material misstatement and the district complied with the requirements of state and federal laws and regulations regarding financial procedures and student attendance and transportation records.
“The District’s staff continue to be a pleasure to work with, and we appreciate the assistance and hard work provided by Ritenour’s business team throughout the audit process,” said Sell. “The District remains in good financial standing, and we had no financial statement nor federal award findings to report.”
The long history of the district receiving clean audits, coupled with 23 years of the district receiving the Meritorious Budget Award by the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International, reflects the district’s commitment to sound financial practices.
