The graduation ceremony for the Ritenour High School class of 2026 is set for 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 30 at Chaifetz Arena on the campus of Saint Louis University. This event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.

The Ritenour School District is excited to welcome the class of 2039 this fall! Join us for the Ritenour Kindergarten Kickoff event on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Auditorium lobby at Ritenour High School. 

The Ritenour School District has earned the prestigious national Meritorious Budget Award for excellence in the preparation of its 2025-2026 annual budget. The district has received this award for 23 of the last 24 years.

Nearly 100 parents, staff members, administrators and community members attended Ritenour School District’s Strategic Planning session on Feb. 10. The session focused on the district’s future, including two possible ballot measures the Ritenour Board of Education is considering for the Nov. 3, 2026 election. 

Five candidates have filed for the Ritenour Board of Education election on April 7.  Voters will elect three citizens to fill three-year terms.  Candidates, in ballot order, are: Brad Thomas, Robert Eaton, Penny A. Degardin, Kelly Adams and Robert Jackson III. The three-year terms of Thomas, Eaton and Degardin expire in April.

Ritenour students and staff celebrated Black excellence with creative learning experiences throughout February as part of Black History Month. In addition to classroom activities, below are some highlights of events, projects and speakers from each Ritenour building. 

Community partnerships have remained strong throughout the 2025-2026 school year, providing steady support for Ritenour students and families from summer through winter. 

Ritenour is excited to announce the debut of the Taste of Ritenour, presented by La Vecindad, on Tuesday, May 19 from 5–7 p.m. at Ritenour High School. 

As leaders, we must always be prepared to share the “why” behind the decisions we make. In the absence of that understanding, assumptions can take root that are often inaccurate or negative. 

Ritenour residents interested in running for the April 7, 2026, Ritenour Board of Education election will need to file for candidacy at the St. Louis County Board of Elections, 725 Northwest Plaza Drive in St. Ann.

The Ritenour Board of Education set the district’s new tax rate at a special meeting on Sept. 18, 2025. The district decreased the residential real estate rate by 51 cents per $100 of assessed value and decreased the commercial real estate rate by 41 cents. The district’s personal property tax rate remains unchanged from the previous year.

Ritenour School District joined communities nationwide in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, honoring the rich cultures and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.

Morning and evening classes are held at the Adult Learning Center, located in the north wing of Hoech Middle School, 3312 Ashby Road. Enrollment is underway, and students for this program do not need to be residents of Ritenour.

The Ritenour School District continues its long-standing commitment to families through its free Parents as Teachers (PAT) program, serving families with children birth through PreK-5.

Three outstanding Ritenour alumni and one Lifetime Achievement Award recipient were inducted into the Ritenour Hall of Fame during Homecoming weekend on Sept. 26, 2025, in the Ritenour Auditorium.

The Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) is a federal program that offers financial assistance to individuals or their families who developed certain illnesses after being exposed to radiation from the U.S. nuclear weapons program.

Join us in supporting the Ritenour Co-Care Food Pantry during our annual food drive this November! Together, we can help provide much-needed food for families in our community this holiday season.
