As leaders, we must always be prepared to share the “why” behind the decisions we make. In the absence of that understanding, assumptions can take root that are often inaccurate or negative. 

Ritenour residents interested in running for the April 7, 2026, Ritenour Board of Education election will need to file for candidacy at the St. Louis County Board of Elections, 725 Northwest Plaza Drive in St. Ann.

The Ritenour Board of Education set the district’s new tax rate at a special meeting on Sept. 18, 2025. The district decreased the residential real estate rate by 51 cents per $100 of assessed value and decreased the commercial real estate rate by 41 cents. The district’s personal property tax rate remains unchanged from the previous year.

Ritenour School District joined communities nationwide in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, honoring the rich cultures and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.

Morning and evening classes are held at the Adult Learning Center, located in the north wing of Hoech Middle School, 3312 Ashby Road. Enrollment is underway, and students for this program do not need to be residents of Ritenour.

The Ritenour School District continues its long-standing commitment to families through its free Parents as Teachers (PAT) program, serving families with children birth through PreK-5.

Three outstanding Ritenour alumni and one Lifetime Achievement Award recipient were inducted into the Ritenour Hall of Fame during Homecoming weekend on Sept. 26, 2025, in the Ritenour Auditorium.

The Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) is a federal program that offers financial assistance to individuals or their families who developed certain illnesses after being exposed to radiation from the U.S. nuclear weapons program.
