Technology for Learning

Ritenour students use technology tools that bring learning to life. As a Google district, Ritenour is committed to continuing to integrate technology more effectively in classroom instruction. With Google, Ritenour students have the opportunity to see the world as they have never seen it before.

Ritenour classrooms have updated technology, including:
Wireless networks at all schools
Ceiling mounted projectors in every classroom
Mounted speakers in every classroom
Interactive White Boards
Document Cameras
Laptop carts for classroom use
Digital Cameras
Desktop Computers
Google Chromebooks
Additional Tablets

Pearson Learning
Learning resources, courseware, and services to improve education's effectiveness and inspire everyone to go further

The National Education Technology Standards for Students (NETS-S) have been adopted by the District. These research-based standards serve as a guide for integrating technology to maximize learning and achievement in all of our schools.

LoTi (Levels of Technology Integration) research helps teachers develop and assess classroom lessons – ensuring that they are rigorous, relevant, and engaging, and that they promote student-centered learning, higher order thinking and problem solving.

Safe Use of Technology
The District’s policies comply with the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA). Safeguards are in place, and safe practices stressed with staff and students so valuable resources can be accessed safely.   Parents should talk to their students about staying safe online. For information about Internet safety, visit

Technology Professional Development
The District provides professional development supporting a high level of proficiency in the use of productivity, administrative and instructional technologies so staff members are well equipped to support students in their use of technology to learn. Staff members’ diverse learning needs are met through varied delivery methods that include face-to-face and online learning opportunities.
