Dear Hoech Families,
We are excited to welcome students and families back to Hoech Middle School and invite you to our Chromebook Distribution and Back-to-School events!
Sixth Grade Families
Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026
7:30 – 10:30 a.m.
Sixth Grade Transition Day (7:30 – 10:30 a.m.)
On Sixth Grade Transition Day, students will learn about middle school procedures from their teachers and practice their new class schedule before the start of the year. While this is happening, parents and caregivers will have an opportunity to meet their new principals and complete all registration and technology-related requirements to get their Chromebooks.

4:30 – 7 p.m.
HMS Back to School Bash (4:30 – 5:30 p.m.)
Before Meet the Teacher Night, join us for our third annual Back-to-School Bash! This community celebration is designed to bring together students, families and staff before the school year begins. Enjoy an hour of fun, food trucks, and community-building activities while reconnecting with friends, meeting teachers and building relationships with other Hoech families. Families will also have an opportunity to connect with local community partners and outside agencies that provide valuable resources and services to support students and families throughout the school year.
Meet-the-Teacher Night (5:30 – 7 p.m.)
Immediately following the Back-to-School Bash, families are invited to attend our annual Meet-the-Teacher Night. This traditional open-house event provides an opportunity for students and families to:
- Visit classrooms and meet your child’s teachers
- Complete online technology documents and receive student Chromebooks
- Walk student schedules
- Learn about course expectations and curriculum
- Ask questions and prepare for the first day of school
Important Reminder
Students must be fully registered before a Chromebook can be issued. Families who arrive without completing registration will receive assistance from Hoech staff to complete registration before proceeding with Chromebook distribution.

Our staff is looking forward to welcoming students and families back to Hoech Middle School. Chromebook Distribution and Meet the Teacher Night provide a great opportunity to prepare for the school year, meet teachers, reconnect with friends and get excited about another successful year as a Husky.
