Arrival/Dismissal Instructions

Arrival

Doors will open to students at 8:15 a.m. Arrival will continue to take place in front of the building.

Arrival traffic will enter from the Sims south entrance and line up in front of the building at the cones. After dropping off, traffic will proceed up the drive, turn right, and follow the side drive to Wismer, exiting there.

Buses will enter from Sims at the north entrance and follow the traffic along the side of the building, also exiting at Wismer.

Here are some tips for morning arrival.
 

Dismissal

Car Rider Dismissal starts immediately at 3:25 p.m.

Car traffic will enter from Wismer (opposite from the morning), forming two lines, and exit onto Sims. The head of the line will be coned off at the northwest end of the building near the recycling bin.

Students exit the building at the landing and file in between the rows of cars led by the supervisors loading if their ride is present. The remaining students walk to the field to await pickup.

Cones will be moved and all loaded cars will be released at the whistle. The whistle will not blow until all students are loaded into cars that are on the lot.

At that point, the whistle will blow twice and all loaded cars will exit.

The first empty car in the next run will pull to the cones and stop. All other cars will pull forward as far as possible and then stop.

All students will be held on the grass until the next whistle. The whistle will not be blown until all cars are on the lot and stopped.

This process will repeat until all cars are loaded and dismissed.
