Important Letter to Families
July 2024
Dear Ritenour Families,
We hope you are enjoying summertime. As we get closer to the start of the 2024-2025 school year, we wanted to share important back-to-school information from each of our schools so you can plan accordingly and attend upcoming events.
Returning Ritenour families must update annual forms for each of their returning students prior to the first day of school, which is Monday, Aug. 19. Parents/guardians can now update and complete the following forms online through our new student information system, called PowerSchool, for each of your children in Ritenour schools. These forms include:
-
Enrollment Verification, which includes important household/student information
-
FERPA (Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act)
-
Health information for each child in a Ritenour school
-
Technology Usage Agreement *(see new information below)
-
Student Transportation Verification
A parent/guardian should have received an email directly from PowerSchool on July 22 on how to complete the online forms. These forms can be accessed and completed on a cell phone, tablet or computer. Please note that if you have more than one student in Ritenour, you will need to complete forms for each child. If you do have returning students who finished the school year with Ritenour and did not receive a PowerSchool message, please contact your child's school.
We urge families to complete these forms as soon as possible to ensure that both custodial parents/guardians receive important messages about back-to-school activities, student Chromebook pickup and additional information from your children's school(s). Parents/guardians who complete these forms on or before Aug. 9, 2024 will be entered into a drawing for grocery store gift cards.
Please note that if you recently enrolled your child in Ritenour (and for those who did not end the 2023-2024 school year with us), you will not receive a PowerSchool email to complete forms for that child.
* New Information: Families will need to know their child’s student ID number to enroll or waive Chromebook Insurance before your child can receive a school-issued device. If you need your student's ID number, please contact their school. Shortly after school begins this year, you will receive an email from PowerSchool that will give you instructions on how to access the Parent Portal. Once you have access to the PowerSchool Parent Portal, you will have a link that you can add to your cell phone so you can easily access it.
We look forward to a great school year!
