Kindergarten Readiness Week

Each summer, Ritenour hosts Kindergarten Readiness Week before the start of the school year. Students must be enrolled in the district to attend the free Kindergarten Readiness program. Parents can pick a morning session (8:30 to 11:30 a.m.) or afternoon session (12:30 to 3:30 p.m.) when they register based on their child’s preschool experience. Students must be 5 years old on or before July 31 to register for kindergarten. The weeklong program will introduce students to entry-level kindergarten skills and ease the transition to school. Other benefits include interacting with future classmates and teachers and allowing them to become familiar with their new school.
