Husky Health Center

Dear Ritenour Staff and Families,

The Ritenour School District values its partnership with CareSTL Health in operating the Husky Health Center. Since its debut in the North Wing of Hoech Middle School in 2019, this partnership has helped provide health services to Ritenour students and families, supporting our mission to provide wrap-around services to care for the whole child. After careful consideration, however, the district has decided to end the current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CareSTL Health for the operation of the Husky Health Center as of Jan. 16, 2026.

This decision was not made lightly. While we remain grateful for the support CareSTL Health has provided over the years, ongoing operational challenges and staffing limitations by CareSTL Health have made it difficult to maintain consistent services for our students and families. To ensure we can continue to provide reliable and accessible health care options, we believe this change is in the best long-term interest of our school community.

We are actively exploring new partnerships and service models to continue meeting the physical and mental health and wellness needs of our students, families and community. Our goal is to create a smooth transition with minimal disruption while maintaining access to essential services for those who depend on them. We hope to share more information about the future of the Husky Health Center in the coming weeks and months.
