The English Learner Family Toolkit was created to help families choose education services that meet their child’s needs. U.S. educators, elementary and secondary school teachers, principals, and other school staff can also share the toolkit as a resource for English learners and their families.

Food Pantries in Ritenour/Surrounding Area

The Ritenour Co-Care Food Pantry is offering all district families a “drive through” food service while school is not in session. Food pickup will be available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the pantry. No appointment necessary at this time.

Note from the Co-Care Food Pantry:
Effective Thursday, June 4, 2020, we will be closed every Thursday. We will be open: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday  9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Fear and anxiety about a disease or social unrest can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Coping with stress will make you, the people you care about, and your community stronger. Everyone reacts differently to stressful situations. 

Stress during difficult times can include:

• Fear and worry about yourself and your loved ones
• Changes in sleep or eating patterns
• Difficulty sleeping or concentrating
• Worsening of chronic health problems
• Increased use of alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs

Here are healthy ways to cope with stress:

• Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories
• Set limits on media and social media consumption
• Stay active
• Eat healthy foods
• Stay hydrated and avoid excessive amounts of caffeine or alcohol
• Connect with others
• Get accurate information from reputable sources

Why make a report?

The purpose of Courage2Report is to prevent school violence. IF the situation is not an emergency, AND you want to remain a confidential reporter, Courage2Report will ensure proper authorities are notified.

Reporting school violence is important! It is not snitching or tattling to report someone who is planning to hurt classmates or school staff. You may be saving lives and helping your friend or classmate get the help they need. If you hear or see something that makes you think someone's life is in danger,

• Call 911.
• Talk to someone at your school.
• Talk to your parents.
• If you feel you cannot tell an adult, submit a confidential tip to Courage2ReportMO. You do not need to leave your name.
