New Student Information System Debuts at the Start of 2024-2025 School Year
A new student information system (SIS) and grading platform will be introduced at the start of the 2024-2025 school year. PowerSchool will replace Tyler SIS (Ritenour’s current system), a platform that allows staff, parents and guardians to see student information, such as attendance, student/family demographic information, and emergency contact information. Parents will also log into this system to update their child(ren)’s annual back-to-school forms.
Also debuting in the summer of 2024 is a grading platform called Empower, which aligns with the district’s transition to Competency-Based Education. Parents and guardians also will have a new login to this system at the start of the new school year so they can monitor their children’s progress in their classes.
The district will share important information for families throughout the summer on PowerSchool so all forms can be completed by the first day of school on Monday, Aug. 19. Parents should contact their child’s school in early July if email addresses or cell phone numbers have changed.
Staff will receive additional training on these new systems when they return in August.
