Ritenour Celebrates School Communications Day May 9, 2025
On May 9, 2025, Ritenour is turning the spotlight on the behind-the-scenes pros who make sure our district’s story gets told well and that our staff, families and community receive important communications throughout the year.
Ritenour is proud to recognize the five award-winning professionals in our communications and community services department: Doug Bray, director of communications and community services; Michelle Mueller, communications coordinator; Jenna Gandolfo, digital media manager; Paula Meers, graphic artist; Margarita Kramer-Gunther, bilingual office professional.
They’re the voices behind our social posts, the eyes behind the camera at school events, and the writers who turn everyday moments into inspiring stories. They make sure every update, photo and message reflects the heart of our schools.
This year, Mueller received the 2025 Distinguished Service Award from the Missouri School Public Relations Association. It is one of the top individual honors for school communicators in the state. In addition, the department received three state-level awards for Ritenour News, social media, and videos produced by the department.
We also make sure our communications reach everyone. Thanks to Kramer-Gunther, important information is accurately translated into Spanish so families stay informed and connected. The communications team ensures graphics, brand elements and printed pieces meet professional standards—because details matter.
