Ritenour Names Associate Principal at Ritenour High School and Assistant Principal at Hoech Middle School

The Ritenour School District is proud to announce the promotion of Greg Jones to associate principal at Ritenour High School and Ramona Coleman to assistant principal at Hoech Middle School. Both appointments were approved by the Ritenour Board of Education on Nov. 13, and each will begin their new roles immediately.
Jones will take on more administrative responsibilities in his new position, including coordinating summer school at RHS, building the master schedule for students and staff, and much more.
Jones brings a strong and varied background in education and leadership to his new position. He has served as an assistant principal at Ritenour High School since 2023, following a year as dean of students during the 2022–2023 school year. Jones also previously served as an interim assistant principal during the 2019–2020 and 2021–2022 school years, and spent seven years in the classroom as a theater teacher at RHS.
Prior to RHS, Jones taught geography and U.S. history in St. Louis and theater at a high school in Texas. He also served as a high school scholarship director in Arkansas. Early in his career, he was an assistant director of admissions at the University of Texas at Arlington and Midwestern State University.
Jones earned his bachelor’s in theater at Midwestern State University in Texas and a master’s of school administration from Lindenwood University.
Coleman has been the interim assistant principal at Hoech since 2023. She was originally hired by Ritenour as the dean of students at Hoech in August 2022.
Coleman has a wealth of professional experience with social-emotional learning and trauma-informed practices. She joined Ritenour from Alive and Well Communities, where she was the manager of Youth Advocacy and Activation from 2020-2022. Prior to that, she served in a variety of capacities for the Wyman Center in St. Louis. Coleman was also a career and technical education teacher for the Normandy School District from 2008-2013.
Coleman holds an education specialist degree in secondary administration and a master’s degree in teaching business education from Lindenwood University. She earned an undergraduate degree in business administration from Clark Atlanta University.
